[01/12/2009] AVI file

Microsoft in November 1992 introduced format for the multimedia files as part of its technology of videos which is called as Audio Video Interleave, abbreviated as AVI. The main files supported by the AVI contain both audio and video formats where both of them are in action at the same time like in case of movies, video songs and a lot more. AVI also supports the dual direction of audio as well as video as in the case of video format for the DVD but, the earlier do not use these features more. Matrox OpenDML also has some dimensions that are used by the AVI. Illegally, these files re called as “AVI 2.0” and are used by Microsoft. AVI format is not used in web designing but it could be converted to FLV file and played in Flash.
