[01/12/2009] FLV file

Different versions of the Adobe Flash Player, i.e. versions 6-10 are used to distribute videos over the internet with the help of a container file format called as the Flash Video. It was originally produced by the Macromedia. Sometimes an SWF file and contents of flash video are firmly fixed with each other. Adobe systems define different types of video file formats that are supported by the Adobe Flash Player and these formats are – FLV and F4V. The method of encrypting the videos in FLV is same as that in SWF. The Flash Player 9 update 3 is used to support another video file format of F4V.

FLV file is used to display movies in web designing process.
