[28/03/2010] Apple vs PC, wich one is better?
For an individual user the matter of switching computer systems is not all that difficult. But it is pretty a different thing for a business thus I'll not be addressing here.
The TV ads are ever popular between the PC vs. Mac and seem to be making more and more people bearing in mind to move from Windows to Mac systems. And one of the big factors going now is the fashionable iPod and iPhone. The two are on the lead to attract more and more customers to their first Apple computer.
At present I am going to talk about Mac Book Pro but it will probable finish the article on my PC. There are good reasons in my point of view to keep both systems and there may be also in yours.
I have lots of experience with Windows systems and all the way back to the Dos based IBM PC/XT. Approximately six years before I bought my Mac and enjoying their product ever since. And I have use a PC for a desktop and I enjoy the MacBook Pro laptop as well. I can not quit either and I'll try to give details why.
When I first did, I had no genuine requirement to buy a Mac. I just like their way. Macs are just very cool. And this is the better reason for some to purchase a Mac. They are very attractive.
I have two reasons for that I fail to switch Mac for full time. First, the reality is I have to access the local MLS services via a Windows PC in my real estate life. It will not work through any other way. The software we exercise to get access the MLS database only work with Internet Explorer that only works with the Widows.
And the other one is very strong is money. I can not pay for to maintain Mac systems. As the Apple products are more costly. The cost of hardware is much higher. Also the software is higher. Repairs and parts of system are very higher. All the way the Mac system costs much more.
The cost is what it is. For some the issue is minor, but if you have a budget you'd better consider it carefully. I love the Mac and would love to make it my only system but I figure that the shift would run me round about 3-4 thousand in hardware plus software costs.
I have a piece of advice for you if you are shifting to Mac. As the cost of hardware is very high I advise you to buy the extensive Apple Care coverage. Because if your machine needs repair after the warranty coverage finishes it would be very costly.
The great reasons to switch are:
The Mac is the best designed ever Mac systems get virus – therefore I love that Mac's can run for months at a time without needing reboot! Built-in software is outstanding Built-In mic, webcam and speakers are very good and simple to operate Displays be inclined better and brighter
