IE: Windows Internet Explorer is sometimes also abbreviated as MSIE (Microsoft Internet Explorer). IE developed by Microsoft is a graphical web browser. It was firstly included in OS that started in 1995. It became most widely used browser since 1999. It attained a peak of more than 90% usage share during year of 2002 and 2003. Microsoft spent over hundred million dollars a year on internet explorer and 1000 people worked on it in the late of 2000s. The latest release of IE is version 8 which is available on internet as freeware, free update of XP SP2 or later, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 SP1 or later. IE is designed to view many type of web pages. IE has many competitor browsers such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc.IE is one of the few browsers in which web designer must check compatibility of his new website.
