Web browser is computer software which is used on World Wide Web for traversing information resources. Uniform Resource (URI) specifies the resource which may be text, webpage, video, audio and other kind of content. Hyperlinks in resources allow users to navigate browsers to similar resources. Primary goal of web browser is to access the WWW. The major available browsers are Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Apple Safari for Windows operating system (OS) and Apple safari, Opera and Firefox for Macintosh OS. The user gives input to it as a URI and data begins retrieving over Hypertext Transfer Protocol. Several browsers support some other prefix such as https: (for HTTPS),ftp: (for File Transfer Protocol):A good browser should be able to open multiple resources, bookmark favorite web pages and extending itself using add-ons and plug-ins.
