XML is a language that helps to
design interactive web pages. It is just like
HTML with a major difference that in XML, we can make our own tags and use them throughout the program. It is very simple and easy to use. It has a wide scope in the services throughout the web. We can give different styles in a same document. Many of the office tools like Microsoft Office (Office Open XML), iWork of Apple and OpenDocument of OpenOffice.org has made the XML as their default tool. RSS, Atom,
XHTML and SOAP are some of the languages that are based on XML as per the survey of year 2009.
