[01/12/2009] What is offline and online optimisation?

Marketing can be done in two ways – online and offline. Both of them are better in their own way. Neither of them can be compared but both of them mean a different way of doing the business. As already mentioned, both of them are different, so here we will put down some of the dissimilarities between the two of them.

As we know, that the general economy is very poor and it has to face a number of challenges and threats every day. This has affected the purchasing power of the people, i.e. it’s becoming low. Budgets are being restricted. Also, the value of US dollar is also facing declination. So, companies are not interested to work with the campaigns for the advertisements that are not in the race today but they want to make contact with the clients indulged earlier in the same.

The advertising companies are present both online as well as offline having some advantages as well as disadvantages. Search engines have helped a lot in this. They allow us to search for the customers that are paid well for their work and moreover, are well educated. The actual work is done by the search engines when they search for you something because they actually give the best of the results and simply just passing the time or looking like an idle. They actually want to give you the best and quality information.

Search engines are better by all means because they are economical, they are fast, they give quality results and they work within the budget of the people. You can wider your search by fetching a group of keywords which will give you more specific result. Search engine is cheap than all other forms of searching like the Yellow Pages and Print and Broadcast.

Dissimilarities between online and offline marketing –

Offline
It allows us to communicate face to face.
Travelling becomes a part of our work.
Large groups can be assembled.
Widening of the avenues of the advertisements.
Only limited people are in contact.

Online –
More people can be in contact with the help of internet across the world.
Advertising the products is easy and immediate.
Travelling is avoided.
Must have complete knowledge of using the internet otherwise it will not be easy.
Communication will be either on the telephone or online.
In my opinion, i would like to use offline to search for the people who are really interested in the selling and purchasing of the products and in case of business builder, i would prefer online marketing.
